This is what’s known as a catch-up blog. It is composed of a quick run-down of many different things, but mostly of my reign as head of the House of Water

So it’s been a while since I last blogged, and I want to extend my most sincere apologies to all of you poor souls who actually read this. I’m going to give you a run through of the past few weeks: We had the THC winter retreat. It was SO much fun. We really kicked off our house points system by playing games and competing all weekend. The THC is working on this new Harry Potter-style house system. I am pleased to say that the house of which I am head, currently known as the House of Water, went undefeated in the dodgeball tournament. SO let’s just say I was really spirited about it. Unfortunately however we took a huge hit in a few of the other games, and so we ended up last at the end of the weekend as far as points go. BUT WE’LL COME BACK.   In other...

Your eyes are NOT deceiving you; that’s Thomas Jefferson.

So recently, my lovelies, we had the Templeton Tea. It was the same day as the Superbowl this year. The Templeton Tea is this really delightful little event hosted by Dr. Templeton each year for the THC students, during which we are provided with delicious food that seems to never end, and a speaker. This year our speaker was a Thomas Jefferson impersonator. It was pretty great. He was the real deal. I got a picture with him. I only recently acquired it for myself. As soon as we approached T.J. for the picture, I blurted out, “This is my roommate Jess––she has a copy of the Declaration of Independence hanging on our wall above her bed and she signed it herself.” He was very pleased––perhaps even flattered; he smiled and said, “Oh good!” and then we took the...
